Giant iTab have been supplying specialist products for the global events industry for over five years. Over the last two years the company has been working in partnership with specialist events industry publisher Mash Media to create added engagement and theatre around the businesses two marques exhibitions; International Confex and Event Production Show.

Both of these shows are market leader in their fields. International Confex is over 30 years old and one of the longest sustaining brands in the events industry. It is a meeting place for business event professionals from across the UK to look at new products, innovations, destinations and venues from around the world. Meanwhile Event Production Show looks after the high production, outdoor events sector, from major sporting events, to festivals and brand activations. The two shows represent the ideal marketplace for Giant iTab.

Giant iTab installed over twenty giant smart phones for use across the two shows. They were used to showcase the official event app and to allow visitors to dive deeper into the show; virtually finding and visiting exhibitors, accessing additional show content, and using interactive maps to quickly find exhibitors, conference rooms and VIP areas. The Giant iTab’s were branded as information points and were simply accessed by the thousands of visitors who attended the exhibitions.

In addition to this, many exhibitors used the giant smart phones as part of their own on stand theatre; many used them to demonstrate event technology apps, video content or even scrolling sales presentations. Because the technology is based on a smartphone or tablet, the experience is intuitive; easy to use and allows companies doing events to showcase ANY of their existing digital content, including apps, for the benefit of creating better visitor interaction and engagement with their brands on their individual exhibition stands, as well as benefitting the wider exhibition. By the end of the two-day exhibitions, there weren’t many of the 20,000+ crowd who did not use one of the many Giant iTabs.
