The Giant iTab support plan offers our customers the added level of support to complement their technology, as well as the peace of mind should any issues arise.

Giant iTab Warranty

United Kingdom:

As standard, you will receive: Telephone support 8am - 5pm GMT Monday to Friday, 1 year return to base warranty on screen and the iTab core or mac.

The Giant iTab support plan extends this warranty out to 3 years for all of the technology - the touchscreen, iTab Core or Mac for the Apple (iOS) solution.

For customers located within the UK Giant iTab offer an On-Site Swap warranty, picking up the faulty unit & delivering the replacement at our clients office or on-site. This service is designed to limit downtime for customers and swap out the unit as quickly as possible. In most cases replacements will be processed inside a 3 working days.

Rest of the world:

As standard, you will receive: Telephone support 8am - 5pm GMT Monday to Friday, 1 year return to base warranty on screen and the iTab core or mac.

The Giant iTab support plan extends this warranty out to 3 years for all of the technology - the touchscreen, iTab Core or Mac for the Apple (iOS) solution.

For customers located outside the UK Giant iTab offer a return-to- base warranty. Giant iTab will arrange collection of the faulty unit, repair/replacement of the faulty components and return to the customer. Giant iTab will cover all of the associated shipping costs. Giant iTab will endeavor to arrange collection and return of the unit within 10 working days.

Giant iTab Software Licence

T2V Licence is a licence for updates of our proprietary core software code. This includes system updates for example from Android Lollipop to Nougat, or updates on the iOS software that occurs every 6 months. Giant iTab roll out updates that are available for customers. These updates are often released in line with updates to the iOS/Android platform.

Remote Support Plan

The Giant iTab remote support plan allows technicians at Giant iTab to access the units without the need for an on-site call. Giant iTab are able to use this service to assist clients with technical issues that are associated with content on the device.

This does not include content configuration, instead this is designed to assist customers overcome any issues if there is a conflict with the Giant iTab software & support.

    Can I download apps?

    Yes. Installing apps on the Giant iTab is as easy as using your smartphone. On our Android Giant iTabs apps can be installed quickly through the Google Play Store, or directly by installing from an APK file.
    While we can’t install apps from the Apple Apps Store on our iOS product we are still able to run iOS Apps. We work with our clients to install the app onto our proprietary solution.
    Our solution is uniquely able to run both complete and partial builds or beta versions of the newest apps, or apps not yet released.

    Our Giant iTabs are used for a number of different applications by clients across all industries. Across the exhibition floor our Giant Smartphones are used for everything from Interactive Digital Concierge points and wayfinders through to demonstration tools on individual exhibition stands.
    Show attendees love the interactive and intuitive user experience of the Giant iTab. On show stands our customers use a Giant iTab to showcase their very best digital content to prospective customers. Our Giant Smartphones are particularly popular with Sales, Marketing and IT with each using them for different applications to add value to a business.     No. Giant iTab are a technology provider, we don’t create content however we use a wide variety of apps and have partnerships with content creators and app developers we would be happy to introduce you to should you require.

    Yes. Our Giant iTab supports a range of peripheral devices on our unique Android solution. We have run everything from external cameras, printers, payment devices and barcode scanners to name a few.

    In the UK our technical team is on-hand to deliver, setup and de-rig for your event. We work with you to ensure we are able to service your needs for a smooth show experience.
    For international events we work with our partners to ensure that your Giant iTab is delivered to you on time and ready for your event.
    Sale
    We work with a leading internation shipping broker to ensure that our customers receive our Giant iTabs without hassle. We coordinate all of the logistics from our London Head Office, and can manage customs clearance and freight handling for all our international cargo.
    Our Giant iTabs are shipped globally in custom built flight cases. These cases are designed around each Giant iTab model. We manufacture the best cases that will stand up to the rigorous nature of international freight handling.

    Do you need internet and power?

    Maybe. Our Giant iTabs run off a standard power socket. Our Giant iTabs are compatible with both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.
    Internet connectivity is only a requirement if the content is web based. We have customers who run offline content. On the show floor we always recommend a hard wired (Ethernet) internet connection as show Wi-Fi can often be unreliable.

    Do you connect to a mobile phone?

    No. Our Giant iTabs run both Android and iOS natively. Using our proprietary iTab Core we have built our own Android operating system so we can leverage all of the functionality of the smartphone experience. Our proprietary iOS solution allows us to install the apps directly onto the device as well without mirroring from a mobile phone.
    As we run this content natively users can enjoy a seamless experience when interacting with the device. We have designed our products around user experience, and it is why our customers keep coming back to us year after year.

    Does it have Bluetooth?

    Yes. Our iTab Cores are 802.11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz / 5.8GHz) certified and support Bluetooth V 4.0.
    Our iOS solution is 802.11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz / 5.8GHz) certified, however Bluetooth is not supported.

    What sort of touchscreens do you use?

    Our Giant iTabs use only the very best in touch technology. We use projected capacitive (pro-cap) touch screens, the same technology that powers the screens on your own smart phones.
    Our touch screens enjoy 10-point touch, and the same pinch to zoom and flick functionality that has become ubiquitous with smartphones. We also enjoy exceptional image quality as there are no additional filters or layers to sit over the touch screen.
    This means your touch experience is smooth, responsive and crystal clear when using a Giant iTab.

    Maybe. While you can’t make phone calls on a Giant iTab it is possible to use 3rd party messaging apps like Skype, WhatsApp and Viber to make audio and video calls.

    What is a ‘dry hire’?

    Some of our customers have their own engineers/technicians on site or as a part of the stand build and elect to ‘dry hire’ our Giant iTabs. In this instance they arrange collection from our London warehouses and return the products to us at the end of the show.
    This is separate to our full service offer for customers wishing to hire and does not include any delivery, setup or de-rig.

    No. However the Giant iTab support plan offers our customers the added level of support to compliment their technology, as well as the piece of mind should any issues arise. While this is optional for years 2 & 3 many of our customers elect to purchase the support.

    Sometimes. Our Giant iTabs are designed to be used indoors because of the components and electronics inside.
    We have had some of our Giant iTabs used outdoors in marques for different events, however it is important to keep the touch screen out of direct sunlight and protected from the elements.

    Can I just buy the iTab Core?

    No. We do not currently provide just the PC and software because we can only ‘guarantee' the Giant iTab as a Premium AV solution (that delivers a remarkable customer experience) when provided as a ‘complete' hardware and software solution. Under exceptional circumstances, however, where separate touchscreen hardware is jointly spec'd and tested by us, and the quantities are significant, we do allow this  for certain projects.
